The Seven Unwritten Rules of the Hawaiian Shirt
1.Don't wear a Hawaiian shirt when already sporting socks and sandals. You will automatically be classified as a middle aged American tourist. Or to solve this problem completely, just don’t wear socks and sandals at the same time ever.
2.If you aren’t Hawaiian, never try to pull off a Hawaiian shirt in Hawaii. The locals will despise you, even if you are part Hawaiian. You must be full blood Hawaiian, look full blood Hawaiian, or be a local to Hawaii to pull off a Hawaiian shirt in Hawaii.
3.Always flip the collar down. Hawaiian shirts should have a collar place down. If you dress in a Hawaiian shirt with the collar up, people will think you are trying to look like an Italian mobster, in a Hawaiian shirt.
4.Never unbutton more than one button. The only way you can pull that off is if you hold a six pack and twenty-two inch biceps. But since those kind of people usually don’t even wear Hawaiian shirts, the only people who feature them with the buttons down are people who probably haven’t been to the gym in quite a while.
5.Don’t be caught in the same Hawaiian shirt two days or more in a row. If you really love them that much, then purchase more. you can usually locate them for ten dollars or less at a thrift shop.
6.DO NOT try on Hawaiian shirts as formal dress wear. They are shirts meant to be used while at the beach, not at a cocktail party. So if it’s a place where everyone will be wearing a tie and slacks, don’t cover up with a Hawaiian shirt.
7.Don’t slip into a wife beater under a Hawaiian shirt at anytime under any circumstances. This rule relates to rule #3. Except by doing this, you will be viewed EVEN MORE like an Italian Mobster. In fact you will seem like you played in the Godfather. So just don’t do it. You will be ridiculed for life about it.

Habits/Quirks
Everyone has habits and quirks. Some peoples are just different than others. I am sure that some of mine are common, but then others might be more unique. I will give you a few examples of my biggest ones. My habits and quirks are: I really like to bite my nails, put sunscreen on every morning, have any volume in multiples of five, always have socks on, have my dog sleep on my bed, my different foods on my plate cannot touch, I eat the worst food first, my closet door needs to be shut when I go to bed, I like my marshmallows burnt, and I correct other people’s bad grammar. I know that some of these habits and quirks may seem weird to some people, but they are normal everyday things to me.
Encyclopedia of My Ordinary Life
Alcatraz
Alcatraz used to be a prison in San Francisco. It is located in the middle of the San Francisco Bay on an island composed of a few square miles. It held some of the most notorious Gangsters imaginable for it’s era, such as Al Capone, George “Machine Gun” Kelly, and Alvin “Creepy” Karpis. There was never a single record of a prisoner escaping and living. It operated for 29 years before being abonded as a military prison. Today, it is a tourist attraction for anyone in the San Francisco Area. I recently visited Alcatraz just two years ago. I was in awe of how dull it was. It felt like I was a prisoner when I stepped into a pitch black cell. I felt like there was no escaping and I would soon go insane. I was relieved, yet also sad when we left.
Birds
I have always been fascinated by birds. Even after all of the research I have done on them, I am still puzzled at their extraordinary ability to fly without help from a man made device such as an airplane or helicopter. I have always wondered what it would feel like to be a bird, just for at least one minute, but I will never actually know.
Caroling
When I was younger, my friends and I used to carol during the Christmas Season. It always brought joy to the people we met when we came to their front door to sing a seasonal tune. When we left, they always had a smile on their face.
Desire to do
I believe everyone has a desire to do inside of them. But they could all be for different reasons. Some people have the desire to help those in need. Others have the desire to do harm. I personally have the desire to succeed the task present that I need to accomplish. If i am tasked with doing a certain job, I feel it is my obligation to make sure it is carried out. That motivation I tell myself gives me my desire.
Extraordinary Things
I define extraordinary things as things that you do not see everyday. Things that catch you off guard and cause your brain to think at a different level then it usually does. Extraordinary things are beautiful in a way that normal things can't be. That is what makes them extraordinary.
Farewells
I find farewells to be sad, yet also enjoyable. They are sad since they bring it to your attention that some you care about enough to give them a farewell is leaving for a period of time where you will begin to miss them. They are also enjoyable because for there to be a farewell, there must be a connection between two or more people. A connection that is the cause of the farwell. There have a bond so strong, they become weak when they are apart. So a farewell shows that the person leaving will not ever bring forgotten, which will usually bring joy to both people involved in the connection.
Gungor
Gungor, a Christian gospel band, is a music group that I have been listening to for about a year now. Their music inspires me to become a better Christian. One of my favorite songs by them is Beautiful things. It tells how God created everything to be seen as beautiful in man’s eyes. The song also tells about how everything was created out of the dust, basically nothing. It leaves me astonished, to see that one being, God, can bring all of these creations unto Earth. But it also helps me understand why.
Horses
I really enjoy horses. They are very beautiful creatures. I’ve only been horse riding a few times, but it was so much fun. When you are on a horse, it’s almost like you and the horse have a connection. That is what makes horse riding so fun to me.
Internal Thoughts
The human mind is capable of doing almost all things imaginable. It allows us to learn, attain knowledge, store it away, and use that knowledge to figure out more complex pieces of work. But there is one thing the human mind does that is simply magnificent. It allows us to hear our own thoughts within our minds. And those thoughts can be heard by no one else. They are in your own private chat room between you and your conscious.
Jesus
Jesus is the son of the almighty, and at the same time, he is seen as the almighty. When he was alive, he was the Lord on Earth. He asked people to follow him and they did. I would think it would take great power for people to follow you but that doesn't go for him. Men would be out at sea with full nets they had cast out, searching for fish for hours who just stopped what they were doing to follow Jesus. I believe there never has been and never will be a human being with more power than what Jesus had. He had the ability to come back from the dead, and then without hesitation, died on the cross for us. That is simply amazing.
Kinetic Energy
Kinetic energy is energy that attains its power from motion. It is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its stated velocity. Kinetic Energy fascinates me since it found a absolute perfect use for the motion of anything. You use Kinetic energy whenever you do anything. You could be throwing a ball, driving a car, or getting out of bed. In any situation where you are moving, you are using Kinetic Energy. It is something that interest me and I personally believe should interest everyone.
Laughter
Laughter, according to Patch Adams, is the most effective medicine for illness. It can relieve heavy amounts of stress off of cancer patients. It also stimulates the brain which causes more brain cells to be produced which help develop the immune system, which try to fend off the cancer virus. I know realize that laughter is an essential to everyone.
Microscopic Organisms
There are organisms so small living under us, that we don't even see them. They are called microscopic organisms. They live in a microscopic universe of their own that we can only see through a high powered telescope. Microscopic organisms fascinate me because of how much smaller and less evolved they are than us, yet they still are able to reproduce, and build what you could call small colonies. They are much more advanced than their time, which causes me to find so much interest in them.
Neverland
Peter Pan lives in Neverland, a place where boys never grow up and just have fun. I wish that I could one day visit Never Land. If I could, I would just have fun non stop. I would also make my self fly the way the people who live there do. It would be a nice visit that I would not take for granted.
Ostriches
Ostriches have always seemed to be interesting to me for some reason. It is probably since they have a neck like a giraffe, a face like a normal bird, a body no other animal has, legs like a chicken but longer, yet can’t fly. I find them to be the most unique bird that there is. I find it to be very amusing how they stick their heads into the ground to hide from a predator, but don't realize that they can still be seen. But there is one thing about ostriches that I like a lot. They run very fast. This most likely comes in handy when they realize their predators can see them even with their head in the ground.
Peaches
I really like peaches. They are one of my favorite fruits. On the outside, peaches look like an orange fuzzy tennis ball. But when you open them up, you find out that they are a delicious looking and tasting fruit. Peaches have great use for everyone. They are used to make peach cobbler pie, peach yogurt, or you could just eat one raw.
Questions
Questions are the only things that can provide answers. I like questions since they help me learn more than I did before I even asked the question. And if you can’t get an answer for your question, then you could always ask another question to help you figure out the answer. Asking a question is the most useful tool for any person.
Robin Hood
Robin Hood is a fictional character from a childs story that takes from the rich and gives to the poor. I feel like Robin Hood was really meant to symbol the good in people found after someone did good for them. That is why I like Robin Hood and the image he carries behind him.
Skateboarding
Skateboarding is my favorite thing to do. I love learning new tricks everyday and meeting new people at the skatepark. A lot of people visit Ripon Skatepark so I meet no people almost everyday. Most of the time, the people are very nice. A lot of times, random people you don't even know try to help you learn a new trick. That is because we all have something in common. We all love skateboarding
Time
Time is essential according to the phrase time is money. I don’t believe in that phrase. I believe that it is possible to live without money. But, without a time set, you don’t know when an appointment is, what time to wake up, or what time that it is ever. So I believe that time is something that is essential to live with, but I also believe that time is no money.
Universe
I am so fascinated by the universe. Our universe seems like it is never ending. No scientist knows exactly how big it is so it could be never ending. That just seems so crazy to me since the Earth feels endless to me. But really, our Earth is small compared to the galaxy it is in. And the galaxy is small compared to the universe it is in.
Visions
I have always dreamed about the idea of being able to have visions. When ever I think of visions I think of the show That’s So Raven. I remember when she would have visions and look into the future.I just think that it would be soo cool to know about what is going to happen at an event before the event even happens.
Water Balloons
I really like water balloons. I was actually playing with water balloons on this last Saturday. I had a big water balloon fight. The best way to launch a water balloon in my opinion is with a slingshot. I once saw someone launch one with a slingshot over a two story building. We don’t know where it landed but it was so cool! I can’t wait until the next time I play with water balloons.
Xbox
I love the Xbox. I have the newest one, the Xbox 360. And they will soon be coming out with an Xbox One. I prefer the Xbox over the Playstation because it is clearly superior. The new Playstation may be compatible with the old Playstation games, but the new Xbox will have free Xbox live and have voice commands. The Xbox is the best gaming system that there is.
Yo-Yos
I love yo-yos. They are a classic toy. They are very basic and cheap. There is all kinds of different yo-yos. The classic, the trick, and the pro. And there is hundreds of different tricks. Just a few are walking the dog, around the world, and the tick tock. The yo-yo has been around for decades and for sure the best toy there is.
Zoos
I love going to the zoo. Even though I have only been to one, I am in love with any zoo. I love the environment. It actually feels like you are in the Jungle. The lions have so much detail to them, that they almost look unreal. My one wish is that one day I can own a zoo. Just like in the movie, We Bought a Zoo.
