Fee Facts! Who Qualifies for the Registration Refund?
GVWP Community-Funded Courses offer FREE REGISTRATION for local teachers! (The costs are subsidized by parent tuition and donations from local businesses.)
A $50 registration fee is payable by check at the opening session, but that fee will be fully refunded to local teachers who complete course requirements!
Our registration refunds are available to teachers in public and private schools in south San Joaquin and north Stanislaus counties.
In San Joaquin County, this region includes Manteca, Ripon, Lathrop, Escalon, Tracy, Banta, Jefferson, Lammersville, New Jerusalem, SJ County-Operated schools, plus Charter Schools that serve children in these communities.
In Stanislaus County, this region includes Modesto, Salida, Sylvan, Stanislaus Union, Paradise, Hart Ransom, Shiloh, Riverbank, Oakdale, Valley Home, Knight's Ferry, Empire, Waterford, Stanislaus County-Operated schools, plus Charter Schools that serve children in these communities.
Also, two courses that are co-sponsored by GVWP & Great Valley Bookfest — Tech Lab & Creating Class Books Workshop — feature full registration refunds throughout San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties!
In addition, all GVWP Teacher Consultants qualify for the registration refund, regardless of where they teach.
Teachers from other regions are welcome to attend and invited to register online; their non-refundable registration fee is payable at the opening session of the class.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FEES FOR MATERIALS OR LAB USE ARE PAYABLE ON OPENING DAY:
For most courses, participants must pay a small non-refundable fee for materials or computer lab use. (All required course texts and materials are included in these fees.)
COST OF UNITS:
For most courses, extended education units are available for purchase from CSU Stanislaus ($40.00 per unit).
