Dreaming
Dreaming is one thing and reality is another. They do have one thing in common though, and that is that you can make a dream, reality. Someday, I would like to pursue a career in teaching. But, in my opinion teaching in a classroom year after year in the same school with kids that show the same gratitude which is "none" is boring. I dream of seeing my ancestor’s land, the Saharan Desert, the Red Sea and the Himalayan Mountains. I would like to spread my knowledge to kids with the disadvantage of not having education as a choice. A place that I would like to go to is Kenya, Africa. I would enjoy to go to Haiti, Haiti has had major earthquake destruction and kids are put to work whereas they could be studying to become an architect so they can help reconstruct the city. I have thought about many careers that I would like to study but teaching has always stood out to me.
My mom is my biggest inspiration and motivation. She has told me about her experience traveling to Oaxaca and teaching. I love to watch her teach because you can tell by the patience in her voice that she has a great passion and dedication toward her students.
One Direction is my other inspiration, I have been a Directioner for a long time but my eyes looked at them differently when i saw a video that was put up of them in Africa. Niall and Louie were standing on a pile of “rubbish” and they saw two kids picking up metal to sell and they asked them what they would like to be when they grow up and one said that he wanted to be a teacher the other said that he wanted to be a doctor. I be these two kids could be the best doctor and the best teacher if they were only given that chance.
Since i do have that fortunate opportunity of getting a good education i would like to help those kids that can’t get one, get one. An education is not like food and water that is eaten and there is no more but and education can last for every. Dreaming is one thing and reality is another, but they both have something in common and that is that dreams can be made reality but it all is on you how you take those dreams.
