16 Crazy Christmas Trees
Do you have more than one Christmas tree? We have 16 trees, each with a theme. About 2 weeks into November we start setting up for Christmas. These are the theme's of the Christmas trees: family, snowman, sports, Giants/baseball, Starbucks, wine, gold/crystal, Santa, Disney, ladybug, Relay For Life, angel, oldworld, princess, purple/zebra, and a shoe tree.My six favorites are the Family Tree, Giants Tree, Gold/Crystal Tree, Disney Tree and Relay Tree.
The Family Tree is a special tree; it has all kinds of ornaments on it. The entire family contributed to the Family Tree, which goes in the Family Room. It has ornaments that I have made for my dad for Christmas, and ornaments that my parents have given to my brother and me. There are also some that my brother made for our parents as well when he was in school. It is called the Family tree because we make it grow as a family: my dad, my mom, my brother, and I.
The Giants (baseball) Tree was started by my dad. He is a huge Giants fan. He has an office at home that is all Giants themed. Naturally that is where the Giants Tree goes. It has Giants and baseball ornaments on it. It has a rally towel tree skirt, and a giants Santa hat for a topper.
The Starbucks tree was actually created by one of my Dad's students. For six years my dad would receive the latest Starbucks ornament, from the same student, because of my dad's love for Starbucks Coffee and Christmas trees. It is a fun tree that keeps growing each year.
Then there is the biggest Tree. It is 10 feet tall. It is the Gold/Crystal Tree. It is the biggest and most beautiful tree in the house. I think it really stands out from the rest, because all the ornaments are gold or crystal. This is my moms tree, some of the ornaments belonged to her mom.
The Relay For Life Tree was started, because of our involvement in Relay For Life. My grandma was dignosed with cancer and passed away 8 years ago. We decided to make a tree representing the hope, remembrances, and fight the Relay stands for, since Relay For Life means so much to us! This is the one tree that we put up for a reason and not just for fun!
Now the big question is where do we get all the ornaments to have so many trees? Most of them were purchased. Each year each family member gets to pick out an ornament for that year. Some were given to us by friends and family, and others were acquired through the white elephant gift exchange that my family does each year. I hope you are able to come see our trees this Christmas.

Summer Fun
I am out of school and ready to have lots of fun! I want to go swimming, go to disneyland, and a lot more stuff!
My grandpa said, "Next time you come over to my house, which I am hoping is during the summer, I will show you real gold and my gold pans." He will also teach me how to know if it is real gold or not. He said it was, "If you bite into the gold it leaves a gold fealing in your mouth". If you look closely you can see there is a tooth mark. I'm really intrested in rocks. My grandpa goes hiking and finds quartz and crystals and calcite. He gave them to me; he is an awesome grandpa!
I remember him telling me stories about his trips. He was suppose to be hunting for deer, but instead he was picking up rocks and arrow heads. He told me when he got back his backpack was heavier than when he left. I went to his house again. He showed me real gold! He gave me some gold, but its fool's gold. It's actually iron pyrite. I also came home with a rope to rope cattle, two cowgirl hats, and a handful of jackets. I came home with those things because my aunt Tara is cleaning her room and getting ready for Brian to come.
Brian is her boyfriend, soon to be husband. He is coming all the way from Ireland. My grandma told me when I was going to go to Disneyland I wasn't very happy that she told me because now the days are going by slow now that I know when I'm going.
I'm going to Disneyland in 16 days. I think I'm going to go on a big roller coaster again because I'm not those kind of people that love roller coaster. The last time I went on a roller coaster and I enjoyed, it I was at a young age. Tomorrow or on wendsday I might go swimming at my dad's friends house. Her name is Tayna. I figured out Tayna has a daughter that is going into third grade. I've been wanting to meet her so I'm really excited. I will only get to go if I start feeling better. I have been having a headache lately.
I have big plans for this summer. I am hoping I will have time to E-mail my Nana (a.k.a Maxie-Me). I have to either send her letters or E-mail her because she lives far away. Nana lives in Virgina. The last time I saw her I was 8 years old. I don't remember much other than we had fun. I hope I will have lots of fun during the summer!
