Building my Computer
Running everywhere, I was telling everyone that I had finally built my computer. It had taken forever, but it was totally worth it. I had finally finished building it, and it actually worked. It had felt like forever, but I was so happy. My old computer was WAY too outdated and slow to run Windows 8, the new Microsoft Word, or anything else for that matter. I knew I needed a new one. Instead of just buying one, I thought it would be fun to build one. It sounded like an interesting experience, and I needed a new computer anyways, so why not? As soon as I had chosen my parts, I wanted to start building, but sadly... it was 11 o'clock, and I had school tomorrow, so I had to force myself to wait. It was extremely tempting, but I was able to hold myself until the next day. As soon as school got out, I rushed home, and bolted in my room. The first thing I did was rip every box open, and I put everything on the ground. As soon as I was done, I tried to boot it up... and sadly... it didn't work. The next day, I luckily was able to fix what was wrong and everything worked. One of the happiest days of my life. I was just glad I had not gotten faulty parts. This was a fun experience, and I hope I make another computer some day.
Winter
There are both good things... and bad things... about winter. It may be great for some, but some may find it freezing cold, annoying, and might hate it. Well, here are the things that make winter great. It's frosty, and personally I LOVE cold weather. I can't stand the heat. The heat makes my head ache and makes me just want to go home, sit in front of the A/C, and get a nice cold glass of lemonade. It's just horrible... you might as well pass out. In the winter, unlike most people, I don't need to stay in front of the heater at home because I love the icy cold. Even if it may freeze other people's brains out, I love it when it's freezing.
Also, school is out in the winter, so we get a nice long two weeks to sit down, and shut down our brains. Brains are like cars. They'll overheat and eventually run out of fuel. Also, if you go to somewhere like Lake Tahoe over the winter, you can even go skiing down frosty hills, snowboarding at rapid speeds down lofty mountains, Sledding down slopes, ice fishing in a lake, play ice hockey with your friends, and maybe even learn how to Ice Skate. You can watch the Winter Olympics too if going out in the cold isn't your thing. There also also some, but not much bad things that I hate about winter. Even though it's nice and cold in the winter, there are some bad things about it. One small, but really annoying thing is getting a runny nose. Also, in winter, a lot of teachers pile us up with projects, and it takes a looooonnnnggg time to finish them all. They might as well change winter "break," to we're bored of teaching you so go home and finish your projects week. If you live in a place where it snows, you have to shovel loads of snow off your driveway, and defrost your car. Also, you can slip on ice and fall (this hurts a LOTTTTT), literally freeand oddly get a sunburn even if it's freezing. Overall, winter is and always will be my favorite season... unless global warming ruins it, but anyways, Winter is nice and cold and I enjoy it very much. To wrap this all up, these are all the reasons I like or dislike winter.
